Kevin W. Nolan
Kevin Nolan’s career reflects entrepreneurial vision, business leadership, and a strong commitment to community involvement. From building a nationally recognized logistics company to supporting youth programs and civic organizations throughout the Quad Cities, Kevin has combined professional success with a passion for service and leadership.
Building a Career in Business and Logistics
Kevin W. Nolan is a Rock Island native and graduate of Rock Island High School. He attended Black Hawk College from 1990 to 1992 before earning a bachelor’s degree in political science from Illinois State University and a Master of Business Administration from St. Ambrose University.
Kevin is the founder, president, and CEO of Ecogistics, a third-party logistics company he established in 2009. Under his leadership, the company has grown into a successful organization employing more than 55 people and earning national recognition for rapid growth and innovation.
Ecogistics has been named by Inc. Magazine six times as one of the fastest-growing privately held companies in the United States. The company has also received multiple nominations from the Quad Cities Business Journal as one of the region’s fastest-growing and coolest companies.
Before founding Ecogistics, Kevin held leadership roles in transportation, sourcing, manufacturing, and operations with companies including Terex, KONE, Allsteel, and CASE IH. He also shared his industry knowledge as an adjunct professor teaching supply management at Western Illinois University.
Leadership Through Community Involvement
Kevin has dedicated significant time to civic leadership and nonprofit service throughout the Quad Cities region.
His service has included roles with the city of Rock Island as a Planning Council commissioner and Community Development Block Grant board member. He also held leadership positions with professional organizations including the National Association of Purchasing Management – Quad Cities Affiliate and the Institute for Supply Management – Memphis Affiliate.
Kevin’s passion for community engagement extends into the arts and youth activities as well. He served as president of the Mississippi Valley Blues Society and has remained actively involved in local schools and athletics.
Supporting Youth and Community Traditions
Throughout the years, Kevin has coached youth softball and bass fishing, led community events including the annual Milan Harvest Festival, and founded the Rock Island Milan Youth Sports nonprofit organization.
He also dedicated more than 15 years to Little League Baseball and Softball programs in the Rock Island-Milan community as a coach, sponsor, and board member.
Through his leadership in business, education, youth sports, and civic organizations, Kevin continues to make a lasting impact across the Quad Cities region.
