Linda Andry
Linda’s journey from community college student to president and CEO of one of the region’s leading credit unions reflects the power of perseverance, leadership, and service. Through decades of financial expertise and community involvement, she has helped strengthen organizations, support charitable causes, and create lasting impact throughout the Quad Cities.
Building a Career Through Dedication and Growth
Linda Andry was appointed president and CEO of Ascentra Credit Union in April 2021 after serving as interim CEO since June 2020.
She began her career in 1987 as a teller at the former First National Bank of Moline, steadily advancing into positions including internal auditor and senior financial accountant. Following the bank’s merger with Bank One, Linda transitioned into the insurance industry, serving as a senior accountant for BITCO Insurance Companies. In 2005, she joined Ascentra as executive vice president and chief financial officer, a role she held for 15 years before becoming CEO.
Education, Leadership, and Professional Excellence
Linda earned an Associate of Applied Science in business from Black Hawk College in 1990, followed by a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Western Illinois University in 1993. She achieved her Certified Public Accountant designation in 1995, further strengthening a career built on financial expertise and leadership.
Her professional accomplishments have been matched by a deep commitment to service. Linda has served on numerous boards and committees throughout the region, supporting organizations focused on childcare, financial development, community advancement, faith-based outreach, and philanthropy.
A Lasting Commitment to Community
Linda serves in leadership and advisory roles with organizations including the Quad Cities Community Foundation, Bettendorf Development Corporation, First Community Trust, Community Business Lenders SC LLC, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. She also serves as treasurer for Christ’s Family Day Care, the Ascentra Credit Union Foundation, and North Ridge Community Church.
Her longtime dedication to charitable causes extends beyond board service. Linda previously served for 16 years as president and treasurer of the Great River Chapter of Credit Unions, where she helped lead the organization’s annual golf outing benefiting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
In addition to her professional and volunteer leadership, Linda continues to give back through her church community, serving as a children’s ministry teacher at North Ridge Community Church and supporting charitable fundraising efforts throughout the Quad Cities.
